For our Science lesson, we learned about buoyancy and the verbs sink and float. We did an experiment where we gathered things from the classroom and used a plastic bowl filled with water to see whether they would float or sink. We talked about the things that we chose and made predictions for each i.e. “I think the elephant will sink/float!”
For our Social Studies lesson, we have been studying about the seven continents of the world (North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, Antarctica). We’ve also started looking at national flags (Canada, America, China, India, Australia, Germany, France, Russia) and are learning about their capital cities, popular foods, national landmarks, and how to say “Hello.” for each country. In this picture, we are working on putting together a magnetic world map puzzle.
We have been studying numbers and have been learning how to read time to the hour in our Math lessons this month. We learned the parts of the clock and did a fun activity with our partners where we took turns telling time using the mini Judy Clocks i.e. “What time is it?” “It’s 1-12 o’clock.”
