1. Rolling the dough

Every year we usually make mochi dumplings at Tsukimi time. Sadly this year we could not due to Coronavirus. Instead we made dumplings from a special paper clay. Here the children are rolling the dumplings. Some of them complained about the strange texture of the clay, as it was very different from regular playdoh, but they all had fun shaping the dumplings.

2. Finished dumplingsHere are the completed dumplings. Some children made more than they needed so they could choose the best ones later.

3. Making the origami boxWe folded a special origami box to hold the dumplings as part of the craft. Here the children are choosing which colour paper they would like to use.
